Another Freebie!!

This morning I was thinking about a former student of mine that read BEAUTIFULLY! Any time she read anything in class she would captivate everyone’s attention. And the best part was that she LOVED to read aloud! She read like a storyteller… filled with emotion and expression. However, she struggled with comprehension. As a matter of fact, it seems that every year I have a few children in this same predicament.

So in an effort to help this child as well as the rest of my class interact, analyze, and respond to what they read, I created the Reading Response Flip Book . You can catch a glimpse of the document below. (If you would like to see and download the entire flip book for FREE please visit my store.)

What I like about this flipbook is that it is compact and allows me to focus on different comprehension strategies using the same book. Keep in mind that this is not an activity that you can complete in 1 day. This activity is meant to take 1-2 weeks depending on how in depth you want to go. It also lends itself to differentiated instruction. I absolutely LOVE these flip books and have seen them work first hand!

So take a peek at my store and download this FREEBIE! Don’t forget to vote and leave me feedback. Remember that if you follow me, you will be able to see when I post the rest of the flip books that I have that focus on additional reading strategies such as compare and contrast, cause and effect, etc… Enjoy!!

Come back soon…
